Languages and literature

There are two objectives of Language Studies degrees; one is to help students acquire at least one foreign language, e.g. English, German, French, or Spanish. While the second is to explore the structure and functioning of language as well as communication processes in human society.

According to the study programs, a literary work is an art that uses language as a means of expression. Both language and literature are forms of expression that provide insights into the characteristics of a society or social group, such as the elements that shape its cultural, spiritual, intellectual, emotional, and physical environment.

As a discipline, the study of language and literature explores relationships with other types of cultural assets such as film, digital media, and visual arts.
